On this website (docugarage.com), we also collect the details you send through the contact form and the email address you give when you subscribe to the newsletter.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our services
• Process payments, subscriptions and refunds
• Send technical notices and support messages
• Respond to your comments and questions

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud-based database service. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

4. Payments

Paid plans are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered into and handled by Stripe, and DocuGarage does not store full card numbers. We keep a record of your subscription or purchase, the amount paid and your plan status so that we can provide your plan.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal information at any time through your account settings. You may also request a copy of your data or request that we delete your account and associated data.

6. Cookies and Tracking

This website uses necessary cookies, which are needed for the theme switcher to work. It also uses analytics cookies, which help us understand how visitors use the site. Analytics only load if you choose "Allow All" in the cookie banner.

You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie Preferences link in the website footer. Inside the DocuGarage app, a cookie banner appears when you first use it, and you can change your cookie preferences in your profile settings.

7. Third-Party Services

We use third-party services to run DocuGarage and this website:

• Supabase for data storage and authentication in the app
• Stripe for payments and subscriptions
• Google Maps for location services in the app
• Netlify for hosting this website and handling contact form submissions
• EmailOctopus for newsletter subscriptions
• Simple Analytics for website analytics, only if you allow analytics cookies

These services have their own privacy policies governing the use of your information.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your data in accordance with our data retention policies.

Stripe customer and invoice records are kept for 6 years as tax and accounting records, as required for UK accounting purposes. These records are kept even after your account is deleted.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, in some cases, we may provide additional notice through the application.
